Private Briefing

Nightcrawler paced the floor, waiting for the others to arrive. Today was a big day, everything was going to be so much different from now on. Xavier had been mighty interested when he heard about the new Mutants and he was anxious to learn how well the whole thing would turn out. Nightcrawler had been given specific orders on how to handle his group, and he was shaking from excitement. The sooner everyone got there the better.

Lynx looked at the scene before her. The gate stretched high into the air, not even creaking in the wind. This was it, the first day of school. A chuckle escaped as the thought ran through her mind. She hadn't been to school since she was in first grade. Breathing deep, Lynx almost weightless as the energy filled her. She jumped, grabbing on to brick wall attached to the gate, then hauled herself over the edge and dropped on the grassy floor on the otherside. Nightcrawler hadn't set the security yet so nothing shot at her, though she hurried to the sidewalk. As Lynx walked she couldn't help admiring the beautiful scenery around her. Trees, flowers, and grass green than she'd ever seen it. Then there was the fountain that sat a good distance from the front steps. But she was stopped and filled with awe when she saw the school. It was a good sized building, made of a strange material that looked like marble but took the shape of bricks. Wide windows were placed evenly, and the door itself was glass. Lynx had seen a picture of Xavier's school in a newspaper, and saw it's influence in the structure of the building. Slowly she made it up the stairs and into the entrance hall where Nightcrawler was waiting.

Blair made her way to the large building. It was finally time to enter and help start this new school. To start a new life.
Gripping her notepad tightly to her chest, Blair slowly opened the doors to the building. Upon entering she saw that a few others had already arrived before her.
Blair flipped open her notepad, quickly writing something down; before turning the notepad for everyone to see.
'Good day. I hope that I did not keep you waiting for too long.' upon showing the message, Blair tilted her head slightly and smiled.

Nightcrawler looked up as Blair entered the building. Upon reading the notepad, he smiled and shook his head. "No, no, we're on three of the others as well."

As he spoke, Susan and Roan entered through the glass doors. "Hi everyone," Susan said sweetly, smiling. Roan just nodded his head in a general greating.

"Great, now we're just waiting on that shadow guy," Lynx said looking at the door.

"You can call me Ghost"

The voice came as a whisper before from the shadow of one of the large potted plants the six foot tall man literally walked out of it.

"Fancy building..if this is what Xavier's school is like no wonder it got attacked so much. Just asking for someone to bother you making it look this flashy"

Ghost's tone was neutral if he truly was impressed with the building he wasn't going to let his voice show it. Just as when they had all first met he still wore his black robes and skull mask to cover any identifiable features

"So we are all here now...now what?"

He looked at the group remaining near the corner he had so suddenly appeared from

Lynx turned to look as Ghost popped out of the shadows. She shook her head as he criticized the structure. Wow, what's wrong with this guy? she asked herself.

Nightcrawler sighed, looking at his crew. This was going to be an interesting day. "You all know why you're here: Your skills and knowledge mesh well together, allowing you to work quickly and efficiently even when you didn't know eachother. This school needs people like this to survive and run smoothly, so, with Xavier's approval, you have all been recruited to take Senior positions here at the academy. Here your own indvidual strengths can be played to, and your weaknesses can be supported. Remember, you are training the world's only defense against Mutants who believe in homo superiority, as well as the future. I will be staying here for a little while, but only long enough to make sure you can handle your new positions.
"Now, I realize this might seem like a lot to take in all at once, but I'm sure you can take it. Are there any questions?"

Blair nodded slowly as Nightcrawler spoke. She listened carefully to what he said. Stopping to shake her head slowly, signaling that she had to questions. Even if she did, she probably wouldn't be able to ask them.

Ghost figured no one else was going to bother asking so he would

"Three things: First, who gets what job? Second, are we really going to have teenagers act as teachers? And Third, this place got some kind of training room and if so where is it?"

He wasn't here to socialize he wanted to get down to business and more importantly wanted to get a feel for the training facility so that he could at least get a workout

Smiling, Nightcrawler answered, "I have placed you where your strengths can be played to your fullest. Susan, with your acheivements in school you are going to be the overseer of anything academic. Volt will handle computer science. Self-defence, combat, and survial will be taken by Ghost, and Roan will will handle teamwork and tactics. Blair and Lynx, unfortunately you both are to young to be teachers, but that does not disqualify you from having the privilege of being a full X-team member if you so choose. And I am sure that your unique talents will be need to help demonstrate occassionally." He looked at his crew for a while, waiting for any other questions. "Well, if we're ready, why don't we get this show on the road?"

Lynx nodded. She was just glad that she finally had a place to be.
