Roommate Change

Honestly, Skylar couldn't remember why she was switching roommates. Maybe it was because she was the one who had talked Loika into coming to the academy in the first place. Yeah, that was probably it. Roan's class had just happened, but Skylar figured she could move her stuff quickly before lunch. It would give her a bit of alone time to get herself back under control. The energy from the sun was still energizing her body, and the last she wanted was to give it food while it was still worked up.

The room was basically the same as her other one, leading her to think all were like that. Even with the clothes she bought at Hot Topic it only took a few minutes to unpack everything. Sighing, Skylar plopped onto the bed, her legs bellow her knees hanging off the side and her back against the soft comforter. For a while everything was placid and pleasant.

Loika had been hiding under the blankets on her bed. It had been a long time since she had a bed and blankets to sleep in. She was nocturnal by nature and coupled with the fact the room she had been kept in for so long had no windows, she was still getting used to days and nights. She tiredly poked her muzzle, then the rest of her furry wolfy head out of the pile of blankets and sheets that were piled on her bed.
She yawned sleepily and attempted to wag her tail. " Hey there sky... guess we are roomates now...small world huh?"

In seconds Skylar was off the bed, her arms in a deffensive position in front of her. As soon as she saw Loika, however, her arms dropped and her stance relaxed. "Geez, how did you get up here so quickly? And napping? I just left you at Roan's class." Maybe being a dog she was granted super speed or something, Skylar thought. She sat back down on the bed and looked over at Loika. I guess I would need a quick nap after a day like she's had.

Loika yawned and tucked her head back into the blankets lazily. " I climbed the tree outside of the window after class. Sorry....Im not used to being awake during the day all the time. And im not used to being around so many people all the time. Makes my skin crawl."She didnt seem to even be phased that Sky almost attacked. Just very tired and laid back at the moment.

Smiling slightly, Skylar stretched back out on her bed. She lied there for a while, letting the quiet settle in, before getting up and heading for the door. "So are you going to come down with me?" she asked. There was a part of her that didn't really think Loika would, but she at least would ask. She seemed to need a bit of reasuring that people wanted her around.

Loika shook her head and yawned again. " Naw i think i am gunna just chill out here. Im pretty tired. Besides i cant really eat anything they serve at lunch." She tried not to look to guilty. She wasnt that tired, she was tired but not too much. She waited to see if Sky would stay or not.

Narrowing her eyes, she looked closer at Loika. Her facial expressions were off slightly, but she couldn't tell how. Maybe she was coming down with something and didn't want to admit it. "Are you getting sick or something?" Skylar asked, stepping closer to Loika's bed.

Loika stiffened. Crap she had been caught. She shoulda have figured that she wouldnt get away with what she was planning to do. She shrunk down farther in the blankets and rolled over so that her back was to lyn. "N-no no everything is fine. Sheesh Sky what are you my mother?" Inside her heart was racing.

Skylar frowned, ceasing her movement. "Hey, I didn't mean to offend you. Just wanted to make sure so that if I needed to find someone for medicine or whatever I could." She turned around and crossed over the threshold into the hallway before stopping and looking over her shoulder. "I'll cover for you in Computer Science. See you later Loika." Skylar turned her gaze back to the hall and made her way down to the first floor, leaving her new roommate to sleep.

Loika nodded. " Yea thanks. I'll feel better soon thanks."She waited until her roomate was gone before she got out of bed and started throwing a bag together for the day. She hated to lie to her roomate but at the same time she couldnt help wonder. Am i really supposed to report to her?
