Party Time!

Usually the abandoned factory was just that, abandoned. It was dark, musty, and full of rats and stray animals. Tonight however, as Cheshire walked up to it, colorful lights stretched out into the night from the windows. ”Whoa.” Large grin and eyes sparkling with excitement, she made her way to the door and into the building.

Inside it was dimly lit, with the colors beaming from the small stage being the only source of light. This guy even made a stage? He sure knows how to do up a place. Looking around, there were a few people she recognized from around the city, but from what she could see they were all humans. Cheshire grin minimized to a normal smile, and as the beat of the unfamiliar music set in she wondered where Trane was.

Rayne wandered around the abandoned part of town. Or at least, she thought it was until she saw flashing colorful lights coming from an old factory. What in the world... Well I suppose that's one place to have a party. Rayne said to herself. Well let's see what's going on inside the premises. Rayne closed her eyes, using her power to 'see' inside the old factory building. She could see people dancing around to the music, which was being performed by a band on stage. Rayne sighed, and opened her eyes. Hmm... I guess I could check it out... Not like I have anything better to do.

Rayne made her way into the factory building. As she stepped inside the building, she realized just how loud the music was. Rayne put a hand to her head, as she walked along the back wall. She figured she'd probably be better off away from the crowd.

Chrome had unwillingly made herself go to the party. She wasn't the type of person that would be seen at them unless she was the, well, spotlight. She sighed and looked around when she stepped inside. She wasn't too sure as to what to do since there were so many people there. She walked over to the corner farthest away from the large crowd of people. She wanted to listen to the music but at the same time she didn't want to be anywhere near it due to all of the people. She wondered why she bothered to show up if all she was going to do was sit in a corner like the dark woman she was.

Seeing the girl she had met in Hot Topic Cheshire danced her way over to her. "So this is what you bought all that nailpolish for," she said with a smile. She leaned against the wall and looked up at the stage where the band was playing it's odd music. "You wanna get closer to the stage?" she asked, turning back to Chrome.

Chrome looked to the side. "I guess you could say that, but then it wouldn't be true" Her voice was quiet. She looked at Cheshire, not really too sure what to do or say. "...i can't be in a large group of people. It bothers me.... a lot" She held her arm. She was in the corner so she wouldn't have to worry about the group

Splatter walked into the old abandoned factory where everyone seemed to hang out, except for him. Today was a day he had decided to come out of his shell, in a way. He left the dark cold of his usual hangout, which was where he remained most of his time studying about random stuff that he'd probably never need in life. Either way, he was out, at a party, which was something he didn't have much experience with. He looked around and sucked in air then he exhaled. He walked to a corner of the factory, where others had been standing and he leaned against the wall. He lifted the book that he was holding up so that it was blocking his face and he began reading.

Cheshire rolled her eyes and looked around the factory. The music was pumping loudly through the rowdy crowd. Movement along the wall made her attention turn to a boy scaling the factory wall towards them, seeming to be trying to turn invisble. Putting a grin back on her face she looked at the boy. "Hey, how's it going?" she asked.

Splatter lowered his book and turned, only his head, to face her. He nodded politely and looked away. At first, he turned his head forward as it was before. But then he raised his book so it seemed like he was reading again but he was actually about to begin multitasking. "It's actually going quite well, do I know you from somewhere?" As he spoke, he continued reading his book.

Shaking her head, Cheshire's grin shrank to a normal smile. No use in frightening the boy, she thought. "Nah, just thought I'd ask. You seem a bit out of your comfort zone, so I'd figured it would be nice to ask." Cheshire narrowed her eyes to try to see the cover of the book. Only getting shots of it, she gave up. "I'm Cheshire by the way."

Splatter nodded and looked out at the corner of his eyes. "I'll admit that I am way out of my comfort zone. But, I am not that easily frightened as you may be thinking. Thank you for asking." He noticed her trying to get a look at his book so he turned the cover to face her. It was wrapped in a stretchable book cover that was once black until he decorated it with skulls, red stars and blood.

"And you might be more frightened than you are aware of," Cheshire said before giving a brief smile and turning back to Chrome. "So are you sure that you don't want to get closer?" She wasn't really for moping in the dark corner while everyone else was having fun, and really wanted to see if there was another band somewhere who could sing something they actually could understand and knew.

Chrome had closed her eyes as she listened calmly to the music. She took a breath and started to relax. She looked over at Cheshire and the boy near her. She decided that she should see what was up. She slowly walked over to the two, not sure what would happen. She knew that she would lose it of she went into the large crowd.

Splatter looked up from his book. "Frightened? Doubt it." He looked towards the crowd of people who seemed to be enjoying themselves and sighed. He wasn't one for large crowds, he actually preferred to stay inside in the dark, similar to the corner that he now stood in. But, he didn't to bring anyone down so he decided to try to be social. "I'll go closer, if you want."

"See, even he wants to go, and he's a shadow dweller," Cheshire said, looking at Chrome but motioning with her hand to the boy. She didn't really understand not wanting to socialize. If you go to a party, you came to have fun. Sitting in a dark corner, hiding from everyone, is not fun. Cheshire was trying to lift Chrome's mood, but it was more damping her mood than anything.

Chrome looked down. "If i get near them...." She shook her head. She walked towards the door to go outside. "I only came to be nice... I just can't stay near people in parties.. I'll lose it" She closed her eyes hoping to beable to get out without getting stopped or pulled back. She only heard the voices in her head, echo. Everything seemed to get louder due to her claustrophobia.

Rolling her eyes, Cheshire stepped towards Chrome. "Come on, it's not that big of a deal is it?" She didn't mean to be pushy, but she didn't see why Chrome was acting so weird. The only thing she could think of was that would be bugging her was, a, she snuck out, or b, she was a Mutant who didn't like humans. By her words, Cheshire was leaning more on the latter.

Since his offer was ignored, he decided to go back to reading his book as he did since the beginning. He didn't really care for Chrome leaving at first, but then he wondered why she left. Maybe she had a reason that made the two of them similar, but for now, he settled on reading his book as he had been doing since he entered the factory. He would consider addressing Chrome a bit later, maybe just before the party ends, maybe even sooner.

Chrome had managed to stand outside and take a breath. She slid down so she could sit. She held her head. "I can't stand being around large groups of people.... it hurts my head." She closed her eyes and took some deep breaths. "I cant stay in there or I will let it out..."

After a few seconds, Splatter realized he couldn't possibly read and understand the book with all the noise constantly breaking his concentration. He dropped his book to the side and went outside where Chrome was. He saw her outside and went to sit next to her. When he sat, he didn't say anything, he just read his book quietly.

Chrome got up and sighed. She looked up at the sky, taking deep breaths. She wanted to relax. "take deep breaths.... relax...." She mumbled to herself quietly. She wanted to relax before she could do anything else, like talk.

Splatter noticed her breathing and figured she probably wouldn't talk for a while. He had originally intended to wait for her to say something first before he would speak but he decided that that might take a while. He sighed and then looked up at her. "You should probably get back inside, to the party I mean."

After the two left, Cheshire looked around the building. She noticed a girl with shaggy blond hair leaning against the wall around where they had just been. Making her way back over to the corner Cheshire smiled. "Hey, you been here the whole time?" She hoped that this girl was a bit more social than the other two had been. At least, in the way that she wouldn't want to stay hidden in the corner all night.

Chrome looked over at him. "I can't go inside," she had a quiet voice. She looked down and to the side not wanting to really talk to him about why she didn't want to go inside. She leaned against the door and stared at the moon. "Have you ever seen someone attack out of being close to a fear, and lose control?" She shook her head. "If I let myself go in there and move to my friends people will end up dying...."

Splatter sucked his teeth and turned a page in his book. "Well, you can't learn not to kill your friends if you don't go in there." Splatter laughed inside his head. Learning not to kill friends sounded funny when said out loud. It was a odd thing to say. "Anyways, where's he fun in being out here? There's nothing to do."

Chrome looked over at him. "To me this is fun. Being able to see the moon, and being able to relax." She closed her eyes and smiled. She held her hands behind her back. "This to me is my own world since it is what helps me relax and not kill anyone." She opened her eyes. "If I'm not careful I can end up killing a lot of people, with my.... gift," she hummed.
