| Lynx beat her shoulder against the door, pushing it open. Before allowing the rest over the threshold she lay her hand against the wall. The lights flickered, then stabilized. ”Sorry ‘bout that, kinda borrowing off the neighbors at the moment.” She lead the way into the shabby apartment kitchen. The paint was cracked where the ceiling met the wall, and some of the linoleum flooring was coming up, but other than that Lynx had done her best to make it look at least livable while she waited for a permanent place to stay.”Please don’t mind the mess. I’d offer some form of food, but right now it’s a day by day basis for meals.”
Nightcrawler paced as everyone wandered to the chairs. ”So, as you all may know, Xavier has sent me here to establish another school for mutants, and that was precisely what I intended to do, until you guys did what you did with that sentinel.”
”Hey, if how we handled that robot wasn’t right, please don’t let that stop you from-
”No, no, there was nothing wrong with how you destroyed it. In fact, it was excellent! A bit sloppy I must admit, but no more so than Logan would have done himself. What I mean is that I think that there is no need for me in Atlanta when it is in such capable hands.” Nightcrawler smiled, waiting for the crew's reactions.

| Ghost leaned against the wall watching out the window to be sure no one had followed.
"So you want us to open the school? Four or five unknown adults whom you have no idea if we can be trusted or not and two teenage girls? That is what you want to open a school with?"
It wasn't that he really had cared he just wanted to confirm. He didn't know about the others but he wasn't used to staying on one place and not with large groups
"Sounds like a great idea to me" Volt smiled from his chair. "Afterall if we mutants can't stick together who can we trust right?"
Volt really was just excited to be among other mutants and he didn't want to pass up the chance to help

| Nightcrawler nodded. "Volt is right, we have to stick together. Plus, I'm not leaving right away, but I won't be staying long either. It'll be just enough time for me to help you establish what you need and to set you on the right path. It's not nearly as hard as you might think, to run a school I mean. Don't get me wrong, though, being a school for Mutants will be a challenge, but if you can fight alongside strangers in harmony as if a practiced team, then why can't you run a successful school?"
"He's got a point," Susan said.
Lynx looked at the others in the room, taking in what she already knew about them. Standing up, she looked at Nightcrawler. "Whatever these guys say, I'm in. There's no point in me wandering about looking for a place to be when one is shoved at me on a golden platter. And if you think we can do it, then I say the only thing we can do is try our hardest to make you, the rest of the X-men, and Pro. Xavier proud." She looked at the others, each in turn, challenging them to disagree.

| Ghost finally turned around and faced the group
"We got lucky with the Sentinel. Most gathered here has no idea what it means to fight for their lives. To put everything on the line. I'll stay...for now...only because I rather not see someone die due to my inaction"
He watched the group through his skull mask his eyes barely visible through the eye holes as he looked at each one in turn
"And if we are going to do this then let's do it no point wasting time running our mouths"
He turned back around going back to watching out the window. Clearly is was overly cautious aside from when speaking where he was brutally blunt

| Blair watched and listened carefully. Taking all of the day's events in. She flipped open her notepad, writing something. 'Excuse me, but if we're to open a school; that could take months, and with the sentinels now knowing where a group of mutants is. Well there's no way to tell if there will be more. Right now, we're practically out in the open. Another attack could happen at any moment.' Blair turned the notepad, so that everyone could see. | |

| "Another attack won't come so soon"
Ghost was the first to reply not turning around again his distorted voice calm
"Because of their size it takes a while to build a fully operational Sentinel and even then longer to make sure it is working properly. Plus each generation is modified from the last to make it a more efficient mutant killer. Since all they will recover is the body it will take them even longer to build a new one as they will have to guess at the powers used to stop the one we took down, that is why i got rid of the head that had all the main analysis on the abilities we used. However we did make a big scene and it would be unwise for us to gather in a group out in the open until the school is done. I can not speak for the rest of you but till the school is built I will also be busy from time to time. With what isn't important just that I will be unavailable but it should not be an issue as I said"
It was the most Ghost had said the entire time. An explanation that showed he clearly knew a bit about the Sentinels and the operation of them not bothering to mention how or why he knew the information

| Nightcrawler nodded at Ghost. "Yes, the sentinels won't be back for some time. I have had the approval of mayor to build this school for months now, we were just waiting until the school had been close to finished to announce it. We should be able to move in and open by the end of the week."
Susan sighed, she wasn't sure about this all, but she wasn't completely against it. "I will join and help to run the school."
Seeing everyone else was up for the task, and not wanting to be left behind, Roan nodded his agreement.
"So it's settled then, you are all going to give it a shot? Good, then I suggest you start packing. We will all meet at the mansion gates on Saturday before the Grand Opening. That way I can give you a quick brief on anything you may need to know and any mutants that show up can see who their [rofessors will be."

| Ghost smirked behind his mask before turning around
"You want two 16 year olds to be professors? Let alone the fact I am sure at least most of us gathered have no type of teaching degree. Xavier didn't put a lot of fore thought into this did he? And if we are done I'll see you all in a week then, though no promises of being at the opening event. Not a fan of large crowds...you see what happens when large amounts of people gather"
With that Ghost Vanished from site leaving the area behind

| Nightcrawler looked at where the man vanished, then at the two girls. Lynx was biting back a remark that she would definitely be stating later. "Don't worry about him. When Kitty Pride joined she was around your age, and she has been an excellent senior member. And the teaching degrees really aren't so necessary." He moved so he could look out the window. "It's getting dark, I suggest everyone gets a good nights sleep, the upcoming days are going to test you a bit. I'm going to have to talk to Xavier about the recent change of plans, although I'm sure he already knows." With that, he vanished.
"Great, two people are going to be doing that," Lynx sighed. She looked at the people who were still in her house. "If anyone wants to crash here for the night your more than welcome to."

| Blair sighed as the two just up and vanished. This was going to be a long week, and she was sure that other preparations would have to be made. Blair turned to face the girl, and smiled politely. She held up her notepad so that she could see. 'Surely if it's no hinderance or burden to you, I would like to stay here for the night.' | |

| "Of course not, I just hope you don't mind the sleeping spaces," Lynx chuckled. She looked at the other two. "And you guys?""Nah, I've got a place," Susan said. She got up, stretched, then headed out the door. "Me too," Roan said as he followed Susan, shutting the door behind him. "Well, it's just you and me then. I'll show you where to sleep, and if you want food there might be something in the cupboards." Lynx walked over the threshold and into the living room, before turning around. She couldn't help but laughing to herself. Six random strangers were suppose to run an institute for Mutants, and they didn't even know eachother's names. This was going to be an interesting adventure. -----The End Just the Beginning------ | |
