Settling In

Subject: Settling In Tue Jun 14, 2011 4:14 am

Volt wandered the halls for a few minutes until he finally found the door with his name on it. He was a little surprised to see that along with this name was another meaning he got to share the office/bedroom with someone else. He tried to control himself as he realized he was meant to be a teacher now but he was easily as excited as most of the new students were

"Finally going to start living my dream. Never would have thought I would end up a teacher but at least I get to be around other mutants now"

He smiled in the empty room walking over to the desks in the room picking one of them to be his own he set his helmet down on it.

"They were even nice enough to let me park my bike here..and look at this computer"

He sat down forgetting all about his motorcycle as he logged into the computer waiting for his roommate to show up, already impressed by the system. He wasn't sure how well he would do at teaching, but he knew he was going to love messing with the computer systems

Roan wandered into the room, already frowning at the fact that he was going to share a room when most of the others got their own, but when he saw Volt's name he was even more down. Great, I get the over estatic lightning bolt. Luckily he was busy with his computer, so he made his way into the back room to check out the beds. At least they slept in different rooms.

Volt looked up from the computer when the door opened

"Hi I'm Vo..."

He stopped mid introduction as the other man just went walking past him and into the back

Well that was a little rude but then I can't expect everyone is as open as I am..like that Ghost guy we haven't even seen him since the meeting before the opening

"Umm..like I was saying I'm Volt..well Jonathan actually but you can call me Volt if you want"

He smiled a bit still going over the computer system amazed how advanced it was, wondering just what they would be doing to need something so complex before ignoring that thought and exploring it some more

Roan stuck his head out of the door and half smiled at him. "Roan." He stayed in the position he was for a few minutes, watching Volt bending over the computer at his desk, until disappearing back into his sleeping room. Hopefully it wouldn't be as bad as he was anticipating.

"So you where made the Leadership and Teamwork Professor huh? Guess you have some experience in such stuff? I kind of got to the fight late so I didn't really get to see you in action..what kind of powers do you have?"

Volt was still typing away reading about the history of the Xavier Institute so he would have a better understanding of what they were related to

"I can generate lightning...can't control it too well unless I use something..like a piece or metal or something you know? otherwise it goes kind of haywire"

He laughed a little as he admitted to his lack of control

"So what do you think of the others? That Ghost guy is pretty serious isn't he? Doesn't he get we are all mutants? We should all get a long right?"

He smirked a little

"Wouldn't mind getting along with one of the female professors they were both pretty attractive right?"

He rambled a little as he typed but he had always been friendly..girls in his home town would tell people he was a bit TOO friendly at times

Roan narrowed his eyes, as Volt talked, trying to ignore most of the rambling. It was rather annoying to have to listen to it, but obviously his method wasn't stopping him from talking. Sighing, he walked out of his sleeping room.
"Let's just say that I'm similar to a frog."
That was the best way he could put it without having to go into too much depth. Without trying to be too rude, but not wanting to continue this conversation, Roan silently walked past Volt and out the door, mumbling something about talking later.

Volt watched as his roommate left just barely catching his mumbled response

"Well...that was odd"

He thought about it for a few moments wondering if they were going to get along before shrugging and started typing again smiling to himself as he didn't even notice the time till he started to feel tired realizing he actually had a day of work in front of him. Yawning he logged off and headed to bed.
