Personality: Duncan is quiet and reserved, preferring to talk and converse as little as possible. Typically he just tries to avoid people as often as possible. Every so often, Duncan will meet someone that he can tolerate, and those are people who get to know the real him. On the outside, he appears cold, harsh, and un-caring; though when (and if) you get to know him; he is really kind, sweet, and will fight to the end for his friends. He is generally calm, passive, and a protector by nature. Growing up in a household full of women, he knows how to properly treat a woman, and was taught to respect and protect if needed.

Powers: Emotional Manipulation – Duncan has the ability to manipulate the emotions of people around him. Basically, he make people seem bipolar; by making them feel an emotion that is completely different from the emotion they were just feeling. Example: If someone is extremely happy, Duncan can manipulate that emotion so then they feel completely depressed for no reason.
His range is about a fifteen foot radius around him as of now, though he has been training to expand his range. So far he hasn’t been able to expand past fifteen feet, and even at fifteen his control weakens. It is because of his powers that he as become cold and isolated. This is because; when Duncan uses his powers the emotion that he changes has to go somewhere. That somewhere just happens to be him. So if he substitutes someone’s anger for serenity, that anger travels to him. So far Duncan has been able to keep all of those emotions bottled up inside, but he isn’t sure how much more of it he can take.
Empathy – Duncan also has the ability to read the emotions of people around him. So if he walks into a room, he can automatically feel the emotions of everyone else in the room individually. This second ability greatly aids his main power of Emotional Manipulation. His empathy ranges about twice of that which his manipulation does. So he can read the emotions of those around him, up to a thirty foot radius. His empathy hasn’t appeared to take a negative toll on his body yet; although he isn’t sure if reading others emotions will affect him at all.
Fighting Styles
Explanation: Duncan typically doesn’t fight, seeing as how he prefers to avoid people. Although when it comes down to it, he knows how to hold his own. He holds his own by using defensive moves to protect himself. If it appears that the offender isn’t going to back off, he throws a couple of hits; this usually gives him enough time to either come up with a plan or to flee.
Pros: He learned how to defend himself from his childhood
Cons: When it comes to offensive his skills are lacking

History
Duncan grew up in New York, with his mother and three older sisters. Since his father had died when Duncan was a child; he grew up learning how to properly treat women. Although despite all the love his family smothered him with; Duncan grew isolated from society. Starting with just simply not participating in class, it escalated to not even confiding in his mother or sisters anymore. No one in his family could figure out why Duncan became this way. His mother grew more and more worried, until finally she decided on what to do. She approached Duncan, in a final attempt to find out why he grew introverted; when her attempt failed she told Duncan her plan. Duncan was to fly out to Atlanta to live with his Aunt Anne for a while. Duncan went along with the plan, mostly to get away from everyone and the busy city.
Sample RP
Duncan walked alone in the street, looking upward at the chilling snow that fell upon him. With a sigh, he pulled his collar up in attempts to keep warm. It wasn’t often that Duncan could walk alone and think to himself. Usually the streets of New York were swarming with people, coming and going; but never stopping to admire something as simple as the snowflakes.
‘Perhaps it is the snow that is keeping the streets clear of life tonight’ Duncan thought to himself, while reaching out to catch a falling snowflake. He looked down, watching as the flake melted against the warmth of palm.
Duncan quickly threw his hand back into his jacket pocket, as he proceeded to walk down the desolate street.
‘Tonight is a special night.’ Duncan thought looking directing ahead, at the sign that neared the closer he got.
‘A special night indeed.’ He stopped, looking up at the large, metal archway above him. Looking back down from the arch, Duncan continued onto the grounds. He didn’t need to look to know where he was going, coming so many times before; Duncan could maneuver his way around the grounds with his eyes closed.
Duncan finally came to a halt, looking down at the stone in front of him. He fell to his knees, placing a bare hand against the snow-covered stone. Duncan brushed the snow away, revealing the name engraved in the stone, Matthew Black. Duncan could feel a single tear sliver down his cold cheek, which he quickly wiped away. He stood up, the snow and cold beginning to freeze his body. Sighing, Duncan began walking back the way he came. He stopped only momentarily to gaze back at the gravestone. “Happy Birthday… Dad…”
