Lesson 1..The haunting starts Empty
PostSubject: Lesson 1..The haunting starts   Lesson 1..The haunting starts EmptyFri Jun 17, 2011 11:37 pm

Ghost had heard the announcement even in school's specially built danger room. Ghost had covered everything he could at the time about the room and felt it would be suitable for his first class. He didn't show up to breakfast, he wasn't ready for the others to meet him face to face, it would ruin the lesson. Plus he had already eaten since he was up well before any of the others had been.

He silently typed at the controls up in the control booth setting up a specific sequence. He was a little annoyed that he would have to give the lesson twice for now but that the students that had him first would be sure to spread what they had learned to the others.

He unlocked the entrance to the danger room making it the only door the students where allowed in through as he adjusted his gauntlets he paused for a second

"They are just children..no point going all out"

He reached down removing the adamantium gauntlets that he wore leaving just his black gloved covered hands. Sitting back in the chair he closed his eyes concentrating and waited for his class to gather below where he would join them, but till then he stayed out of sight in the booth

Aurora quietly walked into the Danger Room excited to train. She walked in seeing no one and hoped she was in the right place. She decided to wait and see if anyone else came to this room also. She silently walked over to the wall and leaned up against it, waiting for the others to arrive.

Loika jogged into the room. The only sound she made was her bare feet as they made small pit pat sounds on the floor. She was afraid she was going to be late to class but she found only one other person around. Another girl stood against the wall. Loika yawned and scratched her head/ruffled her hair. She was as loosened up as she was ever gunna be but inside she was still a little nervous. She had never had to fight unless she was threatened. she worried that she was going to hurt someone.
" Well, here goes nothing i guess."She said as she stretched one last time. She wasnt sure if she was talking to herself or the girl. Maybe subconciously both. She stood still and her body started to shift. Her skin giving way to fluffy black fur. Her mouth morphing into a muzzle. She went down on all fours and became a wolf in less than a minute. Unfortunately bed head carries on to wolf form. Her fur stuck up in all directions. " Yea...we are gunna need to work on that."She half mumbled to herself. She used her muzzled to push her now abandoned clothes to a corner of the room. She then looked to the other girl and wagged her tail. " So...im a wolf. Please do me a favor and dont call me a werewolf, lycan, or lassie? And if you could refrain from petting me that would be much appreciated too..."She waited hesitantly to see if the other girl would freak out.

"But you're so dang cute!" Skylar laughed as she came into the Danger Room. She had been close behind, but lagged a little when she had entered the building. "A head's up, Loika, no one has even seen Ghost yet, so I don't know anything about what's he's got planned."

Blair slowly entered into the room, carefully looking around. She walked over to the group of others, gripping tightly onto her notepad. Blair took a deep breathe, loosening her grip on the notepad. Finally she flipped it open, quickly scribbling something down before showing the notepad to the group. So... Does anyone have a bad feeling about this?'

Skylar shook her head. "No, Hiroku, you're not late. In fact, everyone just got here. No one knows where he is, or what he even looks like, so I'd be a little cautious." She wasn't sure about this, but at the same time she was looking forward to it. Only a little fear about her powers crept up.

Ghost sat up hearing the voices of the students. As soon as the last one had entered he hit the button closing and sealing the doors. There was now no way in or out of the danger room, aside from teleporting or phasing, and it would remain that way till he gave the unlock code.

He smiled as he hit a button a pre-recorded, robotic sounding, message played. Ghost hadn't recorded it himself wanting to leave every bit of himself a mystery till the very end.

"Welcome to the Danger Room. Here you're powers will be put to the test. No one enters or leaves until the lesson is done"

Ghost waited a moment to watch his students react. It wouldn't matter though he wasn't going to give them time to plan, time to organize, because moments after the message stopped all the lights in the danger room snapped off enveloping the children into a world of darkness, one that with his own power he augmented so that they could barely see themselves let alone each other

Turning in circles, Skylar tried to see the others through the dark, but quickly labeled it as a lost cause. The blackness was like a thick blanket, encasing you so tight that you can't escape. "OK, so it's dark. What other surprises do you have up that hidden sleeve of yours?" She called.

Blair gasped as the lights went out. Her notepad fell from her hands, hitting the ground with a small thud. Blair spun in a small, frightened circle, not knowing where anyone else was. She fell to her knees, squeezing her eyes shut. She sat there on the ground, her eyes closed and hands on her hands, shaking her head. One of the few things Blair couldn't handle, was the dark. She opened her eyes slightly when she heard one of the others speak, but realizing that it was still completely dark; she snapped her eyes shut again.

Loika was about to snap back at Sky about the cute comment when the room when dark. She growled loudly and all of her senses went on high alert. As a nocturnal animal her eyes were made to be able to see in the dark. Also a part of being nocturnal her eyes did that subtle glow like night animals did. She remembered a guy on a nature show calling it night shine, or eyeshine. Something like that. She was able to make out outlines of people but just barely. She used her nose to pick up on the scents of all of the other students. It was her way of mapping out who was a "friendly" and who was not. They all had thier own scents to her.
She heard a thud as someone hit the floor. From the scent it was Blair. The girl was freaking out. She followed the girl's scent trail and went to her. In her wolf form Loika could follow scent trails as if they were a physical thing... they were almost represented in colors. She nuzzled Blair's arm and spoke softly. " Don't panic alright? Im here next to you. Just breath."

Blair felt something brush up against her arm, causing her to yelp slightly. She opened her eyes, and moved her hands from her ears, so that she could cover her mouth. She looked out into the darkness, trying to see what touched; when she heard someone. Blair turned, seeing a small glow in front of her. She reached out, and could feel the girl's fur. She took a deep breath, trying to stay calm, but failing at doing so. Her entire body was still shaking.

Lesson 1..The haunting starts Empty
PostSubject: Re: Lesson 1..The haunting starts   Lesson 1..The haunting starts EmptySun Jun 19, 2011 1:46 am

"Oh no...she should panic" Ghosts voice came out as a haunting whisper as he appeared between the two girls grabbing the tail of the one in wolf form before phasing out.

There was a small click as the preset timer went off and the room was suddenly flooded with stroobing lights. Ghost knew that any of them could see fine in light and if he wanted he could make it so they couldn't see at all but there was no point to that. With each flash of light Ghost appeared at a different location. Each time the lights went on his skull mask would flash to give a small hint of where he was before vanishing from sight again.

He had eyed them all before starting, the girl on the ground was clearly the weakest link for now and not have to be worried about at the moment. He appeared behind the girl he had seen in the wood grabbing her from behind spinning her and sweeping her legs out from under her.

"You all better be ready..if you want to survive this lesson"

Again his voice was a haunting whisper as all of a sudden all the students where hit at once as he used his shadows to hit them each so none knew where he was

As Skylar started to fall to the ground, her hands went in front us, and so did a glowing ball. She watched as it bounced off the floor and towards the ceiling, exploding on impact and giving the room a flash of brighter light. Getting up, Skylar closed her eyes. "Hey, if we fight blind or even nauscious so that you can stay in your shadows, then fine." She opened her eyes and looked for the others. Running felt like it was in slow motion, but she finally made it to the group. "Come on Blair, get up. In this mess we don't need anyone tripping over you. Loika, can you pick up his scent?"

Ghost smiled behind his mask. Some where fairing better then he expected, but it was time to start putting things to an end. He appeared behind Skylar allowing her to touch Blair before grabbing her from behind pulling her away from the cowering young girl. Falling back pulling them both through a shadow reappearing into a normally lit side room that could view the main chamber.

"That is one removed from play" Ghost stared t the girl "Now time to eliminated the others"

He let out a small laugh just to have the creepy haunting effect before phasing back through the wall. A screen appeared allowing Skylar to see into the danger room a small message appearing on the screen

Those in this room have been removed from active duty. Once all have been gathered into the room the demonstration will end and official lessons will begin

"Damn... this is getting insane..." Hikuro tried to stay calm when he looked at a girl getting panicked. He concentrate and from his right arm a fire come up. "Everyone calm down! Work together and we can beat him!" Hikuro try to calm everyone in the room."Where the hell he is?" Hikuro was already ready to launch one of his fire attack, the problem his that he don't know where is the target at. "Loika right? try to figure where he is!" He yelled at the wolf girl, hopping that she can answer him.

"I'm right here" Ghost said from behind Spitfire before grabbing the boys arm that wasn't on fire spinning him and kicking his legs out from him grabbing his shoulder sucking it into a shadow to snuff out the flame before pulling it away.

"To much noise and flashy moves make easy targets..easy targets are the first to go"

Ghost phased through the ground dragging Spitfire with him appearing in the room he had dropped Skylar off in

"And then there were three" He let out a small chuckle, he wasn't usually one for laughing but he figured it would set a mood as he kept to the role he planned.

PostSubject: Re: Lesson 1..The haunting starts   Lesson 1..The haunting starts EmptySun Jun 19, 2011 6:37 pm

Loika snapped at the hand that grabbed her tail. She had turned so suddenly that she ran into blair. Everytime she saw Ghost appear she snarled and lunged for him, only for him to be gone as she got there. It was realllly starting to make her angry.
As she lunged for another one of the masks, a force hit her hard in mid air. She let out a small yelp as it hit her. She tumbled backwards and rolled a couple times before sliding across the metal floor into a wall. She stumbled to four legs and growled angrily.
She could hear Skylar call out to her. " I would love to do just that sky, but he doesnt have a scent!"In all reality her wolf senses were telling her to get the hell away from him. At the same time the thrill of the hunt made her want to catch him.
Her nostrils flared as she smelled around the room. With the lights her eyes were going to be useless. She was going to have to go off of hearing and scent. She was picking up the faint scent of...death. Thats what it was. She followed it as she trotted around the room.

Lesson 1..The haunting starts Empty
PostSubject: Re: Lesson 1..The haunting starts   Lesson 1..The haunting starts EmptySun Jun 19, 2011 7:06 pm

"Here puppy puppy puppy" Ghost mused from the dark. He knew he gave off a scent, it was the one thing he had yet to work on masking but it was fine. Knowing what advantages and disadvantages you have in a situation gave you a distinct advantage.

He had been in more life and death situations then he could count so right now he felt like he was having more of a casual work out. He was gauging the students the entire time. He was sure they would feel it was unfair, that he cheated them somehow. But they would learn life wasn't fair and that this was the easiest they would have it. In a real fight the enemy wouldn't hold back like he was, wouldn't give them time to think, to plan. They would go for the throat and take them down with everything they had. Ghost obviously couldn't go that far, it would defeat the purpose to hurt them, but he was going to go as far as he could without crossing that line unless needed.

He could feel the wolf girl moving through the darkness inching closer and closer to where he was but instead of going intangible or porting away he moved forward meeting her, moving around her grabbing her tail before moving again this time pausing actually petting her head before moving out of range again. he knew it would agitate her he had heard he talking before he had begun. He would let her a little bit of freedom before she too was removed from play for now.

PostSubject: Re: Lesson 1..The haunting starts   Lesson 1..The haunting starts EmptySun Jun 19, 2011 7:21 pm

Something animal inside Loika snapped when the guy actually had the guts to grab her tail AND pat her on the head. Her teeth made a sickening snapping sound as she bit at his hand. She was seconds too late to clamp down on anything. She had his scent now. It wasnt strong before but it was now. His mistake was touching her near her nose. The areas where he ported held his scent seconds before and after he ported to that spot. She was running full speed after him across the room. Her nails scratched the floor and made an irritating sound as she tore after him full speed. She couldnt help but bark and snarl in rage as she chased him.

Ghost smiled to himself as he sent the wolf girl into a full on rage. Closing his eyes he made multiple ports in quick order filling the area with the scent. He knew how she was now she would be dangerous, unfocused. If he pulled her from play it would have to be to a separate room so she wouldn't attack the other two he had already pulled.

The girl's barking made her easy to track as he ported and hung from a crossbar on the wall well out of her jumping range laughing to himself a little as he watched her run around following the scent around the room. Even without all her noise he could see her clear as day and he made sure to lead her away from the other two students so she wouldn't accidentally hurt them.

Loika ran in confused circles. His scent was everywhere. So much for that then. It was like a game of chess, and he was moves ahead of her. She looked around, trying to adjust to the room with her eyes and catch a glimpse of the man. She caught a glimpse of him on the wall, dangling from a bar. She bounded across the room to where he was. As she ran she had flashbacks of similar tests back at the lab. She growled and shook her head. When she reached the wall she tried running at the wall and jumping up on it. It was no use. She couldnt reach him. The smell of death was overwhelming, and he was right outside of her grasp. She tried to shake the images of the lab out of her head but they only served to fuel her rage as she tried desperately to reach the one that smelled of death.

Lesson 1..The haunting starts Empty
PostSubject: Re: Lesson 1..The haunting starts   Lesson 1..The haunting starts EmptySun Jun 19, 2011 7:53 pm

"Game over puppy" Ghost mused dropping from the bar landing on the girls back "Lets go for a ride" His haunting voice echoed in the girls ear as he wrapped the darkness around them dropping her into a room by herself a similar display appearing with the same message so she knew what was going on.

"And now there are two"

He knew he could easily remove the girl on the floor from the activities but in his own way he was trying to help her get over her fear. Fear was something that could stop even the most experienced combatant and for someone with that young girls powers fear could mean someone losing their life.

He knew she was a healer which meant out of anyone she would need to have the most resolve and be able to take the most psychological damage of anyone. The others would need to be physically tough, which was something anyone could achieve and would be easy to train, but he would make sure they were mentally ready as well.

Loika thrashed about in the room tearing apart anything she could get her jaws on. She had been so close. Farther than most of the others had gotten. She could invision catching her elusive prey. So close....She tore apart whatever she could in the room then collapsed on her belly, panting heavily as the adrenalin started to leave her. Back in the labs, if you failed you suffered consequences. What would they do here?

Blair stood up, as Skylar instructed. Only to see her vanish, into the darkness. Blair backed up, so that she was against a wall, watching as Loika attempted to catch him. It wasn't long until Loika vanished as well. Blair could feel the tears streaming down her cheeks, as she frantically looked around. Only her and the other girl were left in the room.

Taking a deep breath, she tried to calm down. The room wasn't completely dark anymore, due to the flashing strobe lights. The few moments of light allowed Blair to see, soothing her a little bit. Blair closed her eyes again, this time not in fear but remembrance. In her head, Blair could hear a soft violin melody, from her childhood, playing. The memory helped her calm her breathing. Blair ran over to where the other girl was. There wasn't much she could do, but Blair knew they would stand a better chance as a team.
